Guess what? Last night I watched Walt Disney’s Pollyanna on YouTube (I don’t have a TV). What a great movie to watch when you just want to feel good. Hayley Mills did a great job as the orphan who comes to live with her rich and bitter Aunt Polly and influences everyone in the town to see the good in each other. My favorite part is when she is talking with the Minister and told him her father was a Minister as well and he found a quote from Abraham Lincoln that changed his life. She wore her father’s locket that had the quote etched on it which read “If you look for the bad in mankind expecting to find it, you surely will”. This quote got her father looking for the happy text’s in the Bible (apparently over 800 passages telling us to rejoice). I really got caught up with it and found myself in tears (the good kind) at the end. Ok, I’m a sucker for feeling good. I loved this movie and all it’s characters, thanks Walt. The message is still valid though, so today I’m going to play the “Glad Game” and see the best in people, expecting to find it – so I surely will.
Good for you ! I love that movie also…have not seen it in years, though.
If more people in this world just tried a little harder to look for the GOOD instead of the negative and instead of being sarcastic about ANYTHING good…..the world would be a better place.
The Law of Attraction is working all the time, isn’t it – we just don’t pay attention when what we are “attracting” isn’t what we think we want…hmmmmm
